DEAR PARENTS,
Greetings in Christ! Thank you for considering enrollment of your child(ren) in our Academy. Paideia is a Greek word meaning to train, instruct, educate, enculturate. We here at Paideia Classical Academy would like to invite you to join us in the amazing task of instructing your children in the love of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful!
Our classical education program is Christ-centered, organic and green! We have made history here in South Florida by offering this comprehensive and time-tested method of education in our beautiful 10-acre campus. As stated by Emerson, “Many a dream has grown legs and walked”.
We recommend that you browse our website for some great informational articles on Christian classical education, stewardship of the earth and organics. We believe that raising a well-educated, cultured, responsible, noble and virtuous human being is our duty for our children and our world. We encourage you to envision what kind of adult your child will be according to the environment he is being raised in. We use Christian Paideia as exhorted by St. Paul in Ephesians 6:4: “Bring up children in the training and admonition of the Lord.”
So the question is, why should you choose us? The answer lies deep within your heart. We would humbly ask that you entrust us in shaping the soul of one of God’s greatest blessings in your life…your child!
We leave you with these quotes to ponder:
What is nobler than to rule minds or to mold the character of the young? I consider that he who knows how to form the youthful mind is truly greater than all painters, sculptors, and all others of that sort. —St. John Chrysostom
Seek out, with much care and thought, a teacher who will be a safe guide to you in your manner of life; one who knows well how to lead such as are on journeys towards God; a teacher who is rich in virtues … and wise in the Holy Scriptures. —St. Basil the Great
In education, it is extremely dangerous to only develop the understanding and the intellect, and not to pay attention to the heart. We must, above all pay attention to the heart, for the heart is life, but life corrupted by sin. It is necessary to purify this source of life, to kindle in it the pure flame of life, so that it should burn and not be extinguished, and should direct all the thoughts, desires, and tendencies of the man through all his life. Society is corrupted precisely through want of Christian education. —St. John of Krondstadt
He is not wise to me who is wise in words only, but he who is wise in deeds. —St. Gregory the Theologian
For it is not by nature, but by learning that people become noble and good, as people also become physicians and pilots. —Clement of Alexandria
Thank you for your interest in our school!
Yours in Christ,
